Not getting it :: Ford and Volkswagon AR 'test drives'. Tech is not a toy...

Well Tech is, obviously, a toy.
But I'm just wondering why ad firms still treat it like it's a magic pokey stick that will make people like their product. There are lots of these - but car adverts in AR aren't anything more than car adverts on the TV - which seems weird as you could use the opportunity to talk to your potential clients instead of literally treating them like children.
